“Begin with the end in mind” Stephen Covey

What’s a designer to do?   Every day we come across the most amazing products and creative ideas, but can only use those that match up with our clients needs and tastes.  That leaves bundles of wonderful interior design possibilities floating in my head.  My solution is to create this blog to share it all!  I would love your feedback and and invite you to contribute your design insights and treasures.  I  hope this leaves you wanting to come back for more.

  1. How wonderful to find your blog! I’ve followed your work for some time so I’m happy you’re up and running. I have a question…I saw this amazing purple medallion chair from Haute House and I’m just wondering, how would one work that into their design if there’s nothing in the house to match it currently?

    1. I love Haute House! They are one of my favorite places to go when I want something special with a little bit of fun. I am a true believer that “love will find a way” and when a piece catches your heart, it’s time to start brainstorming the possibilities. You might be surprised to hear that purple is not that difficult to work into a color scheme. In fact it is one of those colors that will give the rest of the scheme more depth. The key is to add more than one purple piece. If you were to start with this chair, you could add the same shade or varying shades of purple in a few accessories. And look for a print that uses purple with the other colors in your room. Don’t worry about being too matched up – a little variation in the shade is more interesting. I’ve added a link to Haute House where you can see more of their collection. Have fun!
